  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
  4. Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with the batter. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Remove the cupcakes from the oven and let them cool in the tin for 5 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the powdered sugar and enough water to make a thick glaze. Divide the glaze into separate bowls and add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl, creating different colors.
  7. Dip the top of each cupcake into the colored glaze, allowing the excess to drip off. Immediately sprinkle mini marshmallows on top of the glaze.
  8. Let the cupcakes rest for 10 minutes to allow the glaze to set. Enjoy!
