Low-fat Blueberry Chocolate Thumbprint Cookies
Thumbprint cookies get their name from the thumbprint indentation made in the center of each cookie, which is then filled with jam or other delicious fillings.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Use your thumb to make an indentation in the center of each cookie.

Fill each indentation with about 1 teaspoon of blueberry jam. Top each cookie with a fresh blueberry.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies are set. Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once the cookies have cooled, drizzle melted dark chocolate over the top.
