Kugelhopf
Kugelhopf is a traditional Alsatian cake that is often served during festive occasions, such as Christmas and Easter.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.

In a small saucepan, melt the butter and add it to the flour mixture.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk, then add to the flour mixture.

Mix well until a sticky dough forms.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Grease a Kugelhopf mold or bundt pan.

Punch down the dough and knead in the almonds and raisins.

Transfer the dough to the prepared mold, cover, and let it rise for another 30 minutes.

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Remove from the oven and let it cool in the mold for 10 minutes.

Invert the Kugelhopf onto a wire rack and let it cool completely.

Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
