In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pot or fryer to 375°F (190°C).

Drop spoonfuls of the doughnut batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
