Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four 6-ounce ramekins with butter and dust with cocoa powder.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and semi-sweet chocolate together in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture to the sugar and egg mixture, whisking constantly.

In another bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add the flour mixture to the chocolate mixture, stirring until just combined.

Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins. Place the ramekins on a baking sheet.

Bake for 12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are still slightly jiggly.

Remove from the oven and let the cakes rest in the ramekins for 5 minutes.

Carefully invert each ramekin onto a serving plate and gently lift to remove the cake.
