  1. Grate the Emmental and Gruyere cheese.
  2. Rub the fondue pot with garlic.
  3. Pour the white wine and lemon juice into the pot and heat gently.
  4. Gradually add the grated cheese while stirring.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with the kirsch.
  6. Add the cornstarch mixture to the pot and continue stirring until the cheese is melted and smooth.
  7. Cut the bread into bite-sized cubes.
  8. Serve the fondue with the bread cubes for dipping.
