Grandma’s Corn Fritters

In a large bowl, combine the corn kernels, all-purpose flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.

In a separate bowl, beat the egg and milk together. Pour the egg mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.

Stir in the chopped green onions.

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

Drop spoonfuls of the corn batter into the hot oil and flatten slightly with the back of the spoon.

Fry the fritters for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

Remove the fritters from the pan and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
