Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large pot, bring water to a boil and blanch the green beans for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.

In a mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.

Add the green beans to the mixture and toss until evenly coated.

Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish and spread it out evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.

Remove from the oven and sprinkle French fried onions on top.

Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the onions are golden brown.
