  2. Peel and slice the potatoes into 1/4-inch thick rounds.

  4. Add the heavy cream, salt, and black pepper to the saucepan. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes.
  6. Sprinkle half of the grated Parmesan cheese over the potatoes.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  10. Let the potatoes rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley.
