  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the melted butter, 1 cup of flour, and 1/4 cup of powdered sugar. Press into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  3. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until firm and golden.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the remaining 1 1/2 cups sugar and 1/4 cup flour. Whisk in the eggs, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Pour over the baked crust.
  5. Bake for an additional 20 minutes in the preheated oven. The bars will firm up as they cool.
  6. Once cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar and cut into squares.
