Granola was invented in the late 19th century by Dr. James Caleb Jackson as a healthy breakfast cereal.

Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, almonds, and cocoa powder.

In a small saucepan, heat honey and coconut oil over low heat until melted.

Pour the honey and coconut oil mixture over the dry ingredients and mix well.

Spread the mixture evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the granola is golden brown and crispy.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes.

Once cooled, stir in the dark chocolate chips and dried cranberries.

Allow the granola to cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
