Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking pan.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and dark chocolate together, stirring until smooth.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.

Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture to the sugar mixture, stirring until well combined.

In another bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the chocolate mixture, stirring until just combined.

Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the batter, then sprinkle with half of the milk chocolate chips. Pour the remaining batter over the top and smooth with a spatula. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.

Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
