Disappearing Cream Cheese Croissant

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Slice each croissant horizontally, without cutting all the way through.

In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.

Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on the bottom half of each croissant.

Close the croissants and place them on a baking sheet.

In a small bowl, beat the egg. Brush the beaten egg over the tops of the croissants.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.

Dust the croissants with powdered sugar before serving.
