In a large pot, add the beans, onion, garlic, carrot, celery, tomato paste, vegetable broth, bay leaves, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 5-2 hours until the beans are tender.

Remove the bay leaves from the bean mixture and transfer it to a casserole dish.
