  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut the cold butter into small cubes and add it to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Gently fold in the cranberries.
  5. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the egg, heavy cream, and vanilla extract.
  6. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
