  1. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat.
  2. Add the marshmallows to the saucepan and stir until melted and smooth.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the green food coloring.
  4. Add the cornflakes to the saucepan and gently stir until they are fully coated with the marshmallow mixture.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Using greased hands, shape the cornflake mixture into cone shapes to resemble Christmas trees.
  7. Place the Christmas trees on the baking sheet and let them rest for 30 minutes to set.
  8. Decorate the trees with M&M's or other small candies and sprinkles.
  9. Insert a pretzel stick into the base of each tree to create the trunk.
  10. Allow the trees to fully set before serving.
