Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and mint extract until well combined.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped mint chocolate candies.

Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until set and slightly firm around the edges.
