Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the molasses, egg, and vanilla extract, and mix well.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.

Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Flatten each ball slightly with the palm of your hand.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once the cookies are cool, dust them with powdered sugar. Enjoy!
