Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, combine the sweetened shredded coconut, egg whites, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, salt, and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Mix well.

Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded mounds of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 15 minutes or until the macaroons are golden brown.

While the macaroons are baking, prepare the salted candied pecans. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the pecans, brown sugar, and sea salt. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

Remove the macaroons from the oven and let them cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet.

Carefully remove the macaroons from the baking sheet and transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once the macaroons are cool, drizzle them with the salted candied pecans.
