Chocolate Chewy Cookies
The first chocolate chip cookie was created by Ruth Graves Wakefield in 1938. She added chopped up bits from a Nestle semi-sweet chocolate bar into her cookie dough, expecting the chocolate to melt and spread throughout the cookie. However, the chocolate stayed in chunks, creating the first chocolate chip cookie!
