Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.

Cut the bread into cubes and place them in the greased baking dish.

In a saucepan, heat the milk, heavy cream, sugar, and cocoa powder over medium heat until hot but not boiling. Remove from heat.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and vanilla extract. Slowly pour the hot milk mixture into the egg mixture, whisking constantly.

Pour the mixture over the bread cubes in the baking dish. Press down gently to ensure all the bread is soaked.

Sprinkle the walnuts and chocolate chips over the top.

Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the pudding is set and the top is golden brown.
