  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the almond flour, powdered sugar, and orange zest.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until frothy. Gradually add the granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Continue beating until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the almond flour mixture into the egg whites until well combined.
  5. Transfer the batter to a piping bag fitted with a round tip. Pipe small rounds onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each macaroon.
  6. Tap the baking sheet on the counter a few times to release any air bubbles. Let the macaroons rest for 30 minutes.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes, or until the macaroons are set and lightly golden.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool completely on the baking sheet.
