Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, butter, and salt. Mix until the dough comes together.

Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and press each portion into a tart mold.

In a separate bowl, mix the cherries, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla extract.

Spoon the cherry mixture into each tart mold.

In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. Brush the mixture over the tarts.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the tarts are golden brown.

Allow the tarts to cool for 30 minutes.
