  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the cherry tomatoes in half.
  3. Place the tomato halves on a baking sheet.
  4. Sprinkle salt and black pepper over the tomatoes.
  5. Tear the mozzarella cheese into small pieces and place them on top of the tomatoes.
  6. In a small bowl, mix the bread crumbs with olive oil.
  7. Sprinkle the bread crumb mixture over the cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread crumbs are golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
