Crush the digestive biscuits and mix with melted butter. Press the mixture into the base of a lined baking tin.

In a saucepan, melt the condensed milk, golden syrup, and butter. Stir continuously until the mixture thickens and turns golden brown.

Pour the caramel mixture over the biscuit base and spread evenly.

Melt the dark chocolate and butter together, then pour over the caramel layer.

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set.

Once set, slice into squares or bars and serve.
