  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.
  3. Add the granulated sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the caramel sauce and strong brewed coffee.
  7. Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan. Drizzle half of the caramel-coffee mixture over the batter.
  8. Add the remaining batter on top, followed by the remaining caramel-coffee mixture.
  9. If desired, sprinkle chopped walnuts on top.
  10. Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
