Candy Bar Shortbread
Shortbread is a traditional Scottish biscuit that dates back to at least the 16th century.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt.

Cut the butter into small pieces and add it to the bowl. Mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Press the mixture into a greased baking dish and bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.

While the shortbread is cooling, chop the candy bars into small pieces.

Sprinkle the candy bar pieces over the shortbread and press them gently into the surface.

Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the candy bars are slightly melted.

Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.
