  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Melt the butter and dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually pour the melted chocolate mixture into the sugar-egg mixture, stirring constantly.
  5. Sift in the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the greased baking dish and sprinkle the chopped walnuts on top.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool in the baking dish for 30 minutes.
  9. Cut into squares and serve.
