Melt the butter, brown sugar, and golden syrup in a saucepan over low heat.

In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, mixed nuts, plain flour, baking powder, vanilla extract, and salt.

Pour the melted mixture over the dry ingredients and mix well.

Press the mixture into a lined baking dish and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
