  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together buttermilk and egg. Stir into the dry ingredients until a soft dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently for about 5 minutes. Roll out into a 12x9-inch rectangle.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together cinnamon and brown sugar. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the dough.
  5. Starting from the long side, tightly roll up the dough. Cut into 12 equal slices.
  6. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for 1 hour.
  7. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk to make the glaze. Drizzle the glaze over the warm cinnamon rolls.
