Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking dish.

In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, stirring until well combined.

Fold in the chocolate chips.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Remove from the oven and let it cool in the baking dish for 30 minutes.
