Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking dish.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the sugar and cocoa powder until well combined.

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and vanilla extract. Add the egg mixture to the butter mixture and mix well.

Gradually add the flour and salt to the batter, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chopped walnuts and chocolate chips.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Remove from the oven and let the brownies cool in the baking dish for 10 minutes.
