Ingredients
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
-
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Continue cooking, swirling occasionally, until the butter turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
-
In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork. Add the brown butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
-
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
-
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
-
Remove from the oven and let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving.
