Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the unsalted butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

In a separate bowl, mash the ripe bananas. Stir in the toffee bits, milk, and vanilla extract.

Add the banana mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently for a few times. Pat the dough into a circle about 1 inch thick.

Cut the dough into 8 wedges and transfer them to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let the scones cool on a wire rack before serving.
