Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking pan.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Add granulated sugar and stir until well combined.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.

Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan.

In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter in the pan.

Drop spoonfuls of the remaining brownie batter over the cream cheese layer. Use a knife to swirl the two batters together.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
