Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, combine the shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, egg whites, and salt. Stir until well combined.

Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded mounds of the coconut mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the macaroons are golden brown around the edges.

Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
