Awesome Mac and Cheese
Mac and Cheese originated in Italy, but it gained popularity in the United States and became a classic comfort food.
This is vegetarian and high protein recipe. Dish can be prepared in 45 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 10.

Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk until smooth.

Slowly pour in the milk while whisking constantly. Continue whisking until the mixture thickens.

Add the cheddar cheese, salt, and black pepper. Stir until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.

Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and mix well.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Transfer the mac and cheese mixture to a baking dish.

In a small bowl, combine the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, and parsley. Sprinkle this mixture over the mac and cheese.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and crispy.
