Apple Strudel

Peel, core, and slice the apples.

In a bowl, combine the sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Mix well.

Melt the butter in a pan and add the breadcrumbs. Toast the breadcrumbs until golden brown.

Lay out one sheet of phyllo dough and brush it with melted butter. Repeat this process with the remaining sheets.

Spread the toasted breadcrumbs evenly over the top sheet of phyllo dough.

Spoon the apple mixture onto the phyllo dough, leaving a border around the edges.

Roll up the phyllo dough, tucking in the edges as you go.

Place the rolled strudel on a baking sheet and brush it with melted butter.

Bake for 40 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes.
