Spread half of the batter into the prepared baking pan. Arrange the sliced apples evenly over the batter. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

Drop spoonfuls of the remaining batter over the apples. Use a spatula to gently spread the batter to cover the apples.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
