In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, melted butter, egg, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well until the dough forms.

Press two-thirds of the dough into the prepared baking dish to form the crust.

In another bowl, mix together the sliced apples, chopped pecans, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, cornstarch, and lemon juice.

Spread the apple mixture evenly over the crust.

Crumble the remaining dough over the apple layer.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
