In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and 1 tablespoon of melted butter.

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

Peel and grate the apple, then fold it into the pancake batter.

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt a small amount of butter.

Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake and cook until bubbles form on the surface.
