In a mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.

Heat milk and butter in a saucepan until butter melts. Let it cool.

Add the milk mixture and egg to the dry ingredients. Mix well.

Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for 1 hour.

Punch down the dough and knead in the mandarin oranges.

Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.

Cover and let it rise for another 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Bake the bread for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
