Crinkles are also known as ‘crackle’ cookies due to their cracked appearance on the surface.

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

In a large bowl, mix together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Cover the dough and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Roll the chilled dough into 1-inch balls, then roll each ball in powdered sugar to coat.

Place the coated balls onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the tops are cracked.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
