  6. Add salt and black pepper, and cook until the sauce thickens.
  7. In a baking dish, arrange a layer of zucchini rounds.
  8. Sprinkle corn kernels over the zucchini.
  9. Pour half of the sauce over the zucchini and corn.
  10. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  11. Repeat the layers with the remaining zucchini, corn, sauce, and cheese.
  12. In a small bowl, combine breadcrumbs and melted butter.
  13. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the top of the gratin.
  14. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
