  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Roll out the pastry dough on a lightly floured surface to a circle of about 30cm (12 inches) in diameter.
  3. Transfer the rolled-out dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. In a bowl, mix together the strawberries, blueberries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla extract.
  5. Spoon the fruit mixture onto the center of the dough, leaving a border of about 5cm (2 inches).
  6. Fold the edges of the dough over the fruit, pleating as you go.
  7. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. Brush the edges of the dough with the egg wash.
  8. Bake the galette in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
