  5. Take a spoonful of the vegetable mixture and flatten it into a pancake shape in the pan.
  6. Fry the latkes for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Remove from the pan and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  8. Serve hot with sour cream or applesauce.
