Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.

In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.

In another bowl, mix the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the mashed bananas and vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the plain yogurt and chopped walnuts.

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
