  2. Wash the sweet potatoes and pierce them with a fork.
  3. Place the sweet potatoes on a baking sheet and bake for 45-60 minutes, or until tender.
  4. Remove the sweet potatoes from the oven and let them cool slightly.
  5. Cut the sweet potatoes in half lengthwise and scoop out the flesh, leaving a thin layer of flesh on the skin.
  6. In a bowl, mash the sweet potato flesh with butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  7. Spoon the mashed sweet potato mixture back into the sweet potato skins.
  8. Top each sweet potato half with pecans and marshmallows.
  9. Return the sweet potatoes to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
