Chocolate chip cookies were invented by Ruth Graves Wakefield in 1938 when she added chopped up bits of a Nestlé semi-sweet chocolate bar into a cookie recipe.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until just combined. Fold in the semi-sweet, milk, and white chocolate chips. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.
