  1. In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar in warm milk. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, remaining sugar, and egg. Mix well.
  3. Add the yeast mixture to the butter mixture and stir until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the flour and knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
  5. Cover the dough with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  7. In a small bowl, mix together the ground cinnamon and brown sugar.
  8. Roll out the dough into a rectangle shape on a lightly floured surface.
  9. Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
  10. Starting from one long side, tightly roll up the dough into a log.
  11. Cut the log into 12 equal pieces and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  12. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  13. While the buns are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and water in a small bowl.
  14. Once the buns are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
